Code of Ethics

The ANASA Code of Ethics has been formulated to provide prospective and existing agencies with guidelines to ethical and professional business governance. Prior to membership being granted, the member signs a Declaration of Agreement to abide by the ANASA Code of Ethics.

Standards for Nursing Agency

Members of ANASA formulated Standards for Nursing Agencies under the auspices of Professor Marie Muller of the Rand Afrikaans University. These Standards have been distributed to all member agencies for the purpose of self-evaluation prior to accreditation.

Development Needs Assessment

ANASA has complied ?Developmental Needs Assessment? evaluations for all categories of nurses, including post-graduate qualifications. This assessment is used to evaluate personnel prior to employment with an agency in an effort to ascertain the skills and knowledge of each individual nurse. The individual assessment documentation can be purchased by member agencies from the ANASA office.

In an effort to assist new and existing agencies with information relating to the management of an agency, ANASA has compiled an Information Portfolio consisting of the following documentation:

  • A Contract between the Agency and the Employee
  • A Contract between the Agency and the Client
  • The ANASA Code of Ethics
  • The ANASA Nursing Agency Evaluation Guide
  • The ANASA Constitution
